Pathway To Forever

Well, yesterday marked the thirty-ninth year since I made it official to those that needed to know that I loved Amber McPherson, that I wanted to be with her and her with me forever more, and that I could no longer be just 'best friends'. I have no regrets, not a thing would I change. We have shared laughter, sorrow, doubt, and the bright fulfillment of a beautiful family. Yes there have been tears and apologies, but never lies or unspeakable secrets. We walk slower now, we sometimes forget why we walked into a room, but our love for each other has never flickered, rather it's grown in brightness and strength as it lights the pathway to forever.
