I've Been Gettin' Old For A While Now

Please try to remember that us older folks didn't just show up one day as old. Our journey didn't begin when the alarm went off yesterday morning. We've been heading this way for a while and in doing so we learned a thing or two along the way. Admittedly some stuff was learned completely by accident, but it's not important how we learned, it's the fact that we did. Before you go on an offensive charge about the intelligence levels of today's youth, you need to know some things can only be learned over time. There is a reason we don't speed into adulthood in five or ten or even fifteen years. Time is a valuable commodity in the world of knowledge.  Those in my generation and the generations before us are and were masters of time. We carry a plethora of knowledge and advice, all there for the sharing. So, send not pity or sympathy our way. Send us love, equality, respect and a comfortable easy chair.
