Goldthaite vs Bosqueville

Well, Amber and I joined friends and family last night to watch Goldthwaite take on Bosqueville in the high school football playoffs. Things didn't go well for our team, the Goldthwaite Eagles, and if you listened to all the folks in the stands, depending on which side you were sitting on, there were plenty of reasons for our team's loss. Sometimes the best team doesn't win, sometimes injuries come into play, sometimes mistakes cost the game, sometimes players don't play their best, sometimes the officiating isn't the best but most times the best team wins the game. We all have our opinions but only each player and each coach knows if they gave their best effort and if they did so, all the other stuff doesn't really matter. Goldthwaite is a team and a town with championship tradition that lost and are disappointed about it, I would be concerned if they weren't. Step up, there are things other than football, do your best in all things and when football comes around next year, remember,  get mad and be the best you can be!
