Stage One Water Restrictions, My Own Version
Well, beginning June 1 residents in Burleson, Texas will begin stage one water restrictions. Following are those restrictions as I understand them:
Stage I Water Restrictions - Burleson, Texas (As understood by Terry Beck)
Beginning June 1st, Burleson will begin Stage I water restrictions. These restrictions will remain in effect for the rest of your natural life or until we get about eight and one half feet of rain.
Addresses ending in an odd number will be able to water their lawn or landscape on Sundays and Thursdays except between the hours of 10 AM and 6 PM and 8:25 AM and 9:10 AM and between 7:32 PM and 8:13 PM.
Addresses ending in an even number will be able to water their lawn or landscape on Tuesdays and Saturdays except between the same times as the odd numbered addresses unless using blue or green water hose, which would allow watering during the 7:32 PM and 8:13 PM time frame.
There will be no lawn or landscape watering at all on Mondays. There also will be no flushing of toilets and the brushing of teeth will only be allowed if you are actually going to be in the presents of people other than family.
Except on Mondays, when there will be no toilet flushing, toilet flushing will alternate between odd and even addresses from day to day beginning with odd on Tuesday.
It is suggested, if you are not already, you become close friends with the neighbor on one side or the other.
Baths and long showers are limited to three times a week and cannot occur on the same day that the lawn was watered or a toilet was flushed and, as with teeth brushing, should only be performed if you are going to be in the presence of someone other than family. Bathing in lawn sprinklers will not be charged as a formal bath or shower, however, adults over fifty years of age are restricted to backyard sprinklers only unless preapproved by City Manager.
Car washing will not Be permitted unless incorporated with bathing and would need City Manager's approval. The washing of clothes will be limited to one time every ten days. This shouldn't present a problem in that putting on clean underwear when you haven't had a shower or bath wouldn't do a lot of good anyway.
Any violations of the above mentioned regulations will result in the following:
First offence - a warning and a two thousand dollar fine; Second offense - ten thousand dollar fine; Third offense - four tickets to a Cowboy Game sitting next to Jerry Jones.
