Walk Before You Run

You know, it's not that my journey has been such a long trip, it's just that it has sure taken a long time. My Daddy told me a long time ago, "You have to learn how to walk before you can run!" Well, I walked for a long time, them I thought I had it figured out and started running, I ran so fast I out ran my smarts (I've told you before how me and smart never really got along anyway). So, I started walking again and have been ever since, which reminds me of something my Mama said, "Take time to smell the flowers!" Somebody else once said, "You can't smell the flowers when you're gasping for your breath from trying to run" (Just kidding about that last one, I just made that up).
