I Had Never Been A Parent Before

One of the truly good things about being a parent is to be fortunate enough to hear your grown children talk about how great and how blessed their childhood had been. Having been new at the parenting thing at the time, you are hesitant to admit to them how frightened, overwhelmed, perplexed and at times just plain lucky you were as a young parent. Rather, we just smile and act like there was nothing to it, they will figure it out shortly.
