We Prayed In School

I came from a place and a time when we prayed in school, we prayed before football games, and I prayed extra hard on report card day. Not everybody prayed, not everybody believed in God, but most everybody had respect for those that did and there weren't but a few that felt it necessary to force their views, or lack of views, on religion to the rest of civilization. I have always had religion, although I don't always pray when I bow my head and there have been times when I said I would pray and then didn't. I don't think my religion has changed over the years as much as my need for religion. I'm not preaching, there are some that want to know where I came from and where I stand on religion...these words are for them.
