On June 25, 1971 I hired on with the Grand Old Santa Fe Railroad, certainly one of the best things to happen to me! On June 25, 1952 Brakeman A. Y. McPherson received a message while on a Santa Fe train nearing Gainesville stating he would be released from duty and transported back to Cleburne to be with his wife and new born daughter, Amber. The best thing to ever happen to me! Happy Birthday my sweet Amber!
