Still In Love

I knew this fellow back when he was somewhere between not grownup and grownup. He was lonely and desperately wanted to be loved. Not the kind of love you would expect from Mom and Pop, but the kind of love that comes from non family types. He tried really hard to make folks love him but it just never seemed to happen. Then, after what seemed like a long time, he gave up. He eventually kind of forgot about making someone love him. He convinced himself it wasn't that important. Then one day something completely unexpected happened, he fell in love and the really surprising part was, she loved him too, and they are still living happily and will be forever.
